Pav Dharia gears up for his 2nd album & big label debut!

In what must surely be a Punjabi music ‘world record’ for shortest time between album releases, less than one month from the release of his retrospective My Turn album, Melbourne based and next big-artist-in-waiting is back with his first full recorded studio album via Speed Records India. The last three weeks have seen two video teasers doing the rounds: the official first video, “Tera Naam (featuring fellow Australian Babbal Rai on vocals), and a second, “Pyar Mera”, with one of Punjab’s current hottest properties, Jassi Gill.

We asked Pav to tell us in one line how Red differs from his recent My Turn release:

All the songs on Red are romantic tracks and on the softer side except for two which are folk oriented so have a bit more of an upbeat feel to them”

As well as well known singers such as Jassi Gill and Prabh Gill, Pav continues about some of the other vocalists on the album and why they were approached specifically for this release:

Both Dheera Chatha and Devinder Dharia have more mature vocals; I thought it was important to include what romantic songs traditionally felt and sounded like so that the album could include a bit of everything. As a result, you’ll find each song has its unique personality”

You heard it first on, expect big things from this artist in the near future!
