Rup and Q of JoSH deliver another slab of infections house beats with the release of their new single ‘Meri Dua’. Partnered with a video that has raised eyebrows with Indian and Pakistani groups that are questioning the viewer suitability of it, the duo have thrown caution to the wind and portrayed real-life aspects of relationships with scenes of betrayal, intoxication, and violence.
Produced by Tom Glass Pictures and directed by Theo Skudra, the internationally acclaimed band has once again raised the bar with their stellar performance and vocals. The mini movie style video, essays the strain on life’s everyday struggles and which broke all records for the most albums sold in Pakistan as part of a ground breaking promotion with McDonalds.
When asked if the video should be considered controversial, Magon explains:
What’s controversial to one is real-life to another – it is what it is. We wanted to showcase something that our fans could connect with at some level. It’s a change from the style of videos that we have launched in the past, but yet is still remains a reflection of JoSH.
The track will be available as a free download on www.planetjosh.com. So check out the video and leave your comments on whether it is controversial or just real life. Would you watch this in front of your parents?
