Birmingham based Jet Karra releases his debut video single Jatt Te Bandook

A teacher by day at a Birmingham Grammar School, Jet, a qualified IT expert has taken a big step for his debut by working with Dan B; a new music producer for the single titled ‘Glassy’. Dan B will use this release as the first step on the ladder to success and form a production house to nurture others artists in the future.

Birmingham born, Jet is an artist nurtured by some of the great masters of South Asian music namely Kuldip Singh Matharu (Ashoka Group) and Harjit Singh (Azaad Dhol Group). All of his masters have their roots in the UK Bhangra culture spanning the past 40 years.

“Jet is going to take what he has learned and master success for future generations to enjoy and make a carer for himself which he hopes will fulfil a passion for being an all round musical artist”. Boy Chana – DJ and Bhangra Historian.

Whilst teaching is a career which has cemented Jet for life, his passion for music was nurtured when he was five, and began to learn tabla. This passion has never stopped; he began to accompany sufi singers and developed a love for raag sangeet. After being heard by his colleagues and musicians. Jet was urged to go further and treat the world to ‘the voice’ which has strong tones of Punjabi culture like his heroes Kuldeep Manak, Surinder Shinda, Gurdas Mann and the Legendary Amar Singh ‘Chamkila’

The music on the single is a mixture of folk sounds and electronic beats. The single is a double whammy with the one price of 79p giving you an extra track titled ‘Bandook’ (production  by Chan Kudhail) with more mixes of this track. So Jet is innovative in giving what every music lover need in these times. A great banging Summer track at a bargain price and more.
