4Play Recordings is set to release Jati Cheed’s first single “Tere Toh Vagher” on 29th November from his upcoming album. “Tere Toh Vagher” is produced by the talented UK-based producer GV. The single will be available for purchase on iTunes and all trusted online retailers. The single will be accompanied by a music video which has been completed and will be released on 29th November 2012.

Tere Toh Vagher” is a detour from the recent dancefloor hits Cheed has been involved with. “This isn’t another bhangra track,” explains Cheed, “it’s a sad song that I’ve been working with for a while now, it’s close to my heart for two reasons, firstly my Fuffar Ji wrote the lyrics and secondly I’ve believed in the song since I read the lyrics which made me want to take part in the composition aspect as awell.

Cheed and GV have had ample success with GV’s previous track “Hai Oh Rabba” but this track doesn’t follow a traditional bhangra or classically sad rhythm; “I worked with GV on this track because I wanted it to have an up-to-date sound instead of that typical sad-song vibe,” says Cheed. This track delivers a blissful balance between melodious highs and energetic riffs which truly compliment Cheed’s vocal performance. Cheed’s other music videos, especially “Kolaveri Di (Party Mix)”, have allowed viewers to see his comedic personality, but when asked about the video for “Tere Toh Vagher”, Cheed asserts that this video is “all about my voice and the song! No gimmicks, girls, or cameos!”

Cheed’s exceptional voice has been sought after by top producers from Bups Saggu to PBN, Dipps Bhamrah, Ominous DJs, and DJ Dips who have used Cheed’s voice to create bhangra-centric hits. Cheed will now showcase his vocal talents through a somber track, with heartfelt lyrics, an emotionally charged melody, and a music video created to enhance the listening experience.
