Sunday 6th April is the date set for the release of ‘Work of Warriors‘, the huge collaboration of Diljit Dosanjh with Registered Charity Dharmik Label Dharam Seva Records. The label which was launched just one year ago with the help of Sukshinder Shinda and Jazzy B is now set to take major steps in the music industry in 2014.
Diljit Dosanjh pledged his commitment in 2013 and the subject of the track has undertaken lots of thought and research. The song ‘Work of Warriors‘ is about what the duties of a Singh-Sardar-Khalsa are. For example protecting not only humans but compassion towards animals are also duty’s of the Sardars.
A Sevadaar from the label told us…. Theres a line in Punjabi history that to Protect the “Gau Gareeb” the Poor and the Cows, whose milk gives us life is a Singhs duty. Today the Dairy industries have become barbaric and thanks to research and action from our bothers at Art Of Elusive Fighting Dharam Seva felt that it should be highlighted how compassion towards all creatures is our duty.
Also to live honestly, to protect the poor to contemplate and research what our Guru is saying in Guru Granth Sahib Ji is Dharam Seva Records mission.
The video is set to release shortly with a cameo appearance from Diljit Dosanjh as he himself wanted full bearded Khalsa Singhs with unshorn hair to depict the song and for them to be the focus.
Music is by famous Punjabi music director Tejwant Kittu and the track is written by Balvir Boparai.
Final message from Dharam Seva Records is that we have one simple goal and aim…. That is to try to make people understand over time that the Shabad in Gurbani is the ultimate answer to all query’s in this life. This will take many years for us to portray as its a divine subject. We hope that with the reach of artists we can slowly start to make a better impact on sending out messages that came from our Gurus as there is a big need for Sikhs to know how special Guru Jis bani is. These songs are simply stepping stones and inspiring tokens towards the Shabad. Once connected to Guru Nanak Dev Jis Shabad that’s where the treasure is.
The Song will be available worldwide on all digital platforms from 6th April 2014. A CD Album version is also Exclusively available with other tracks at Dharam Seva Records Stalls in UK Nagar Kirtans.
Dharam Seva Records is a Registered Charity and will publish its accounts to the media later this year.
