Fresh from the success of his latest single “Tera Naam“, Punjabi Singer Babbal Rai (aka Simranjeet Singh Rai) speaks about his passion, past experiences, upcoming projects and a lot more in an exclusive interview with Day & Night News.
Babbal Rai who graduated from DAV College, Chandigarh has always enjoyed a passion towards cricket. He was trained by Mr. Yograj Singh (Father of Cricketer Yuvraj Singh) but destiny didn’t take him into a world of Cricket. His circumstances changed and he was left with an option to go abroad for a better future and take other challenges in life.
Babbal who rose to fame with the track ‘Nikki Jehi Jind’, shares how he got into singing:
I used to sing for myself as a hobby but never thought it would change my life so much. It was just a chance one fine day when me and my friends were enjoying my birthday party and started singing. We recorded it and put it on a social networking site. I never thought it would change my life in one night.
On speaking about his upcoming projects, Babbal says:
Apart from a new album with Speed Records, I have completed shooting for two of my upcoming Punjabi movies titled ‘Oh My Pyo‘ and ‘Mr. & Mrs. 420‘ which will be releasing early 2014.
